A cultural institution rises from the former site of an electrical machinery plant in Beijing's southwestern part, to enrich the art landscape of the area.
Gravity Art Museum, an addition to Shijingshan district's skyline, was recently inaugurated with the opening show, The Sea of Time, which pays tribute to the district's past as a part of the capital city's history of industrialization in the 1950s and '60s. Elastic Support
On show are 50 works by dozens of leading figures of contemporary art that address the changing of time and during which people's reflection on history and examinations of the self.
The exhibition runs through Aug 20.
